The Greer Group, Inc. was founded in 1986 by Deborah Greer, a Certified Personnel Consultant. After almost a decade of experience serving the Triangle area in the personnel services industry, Debbie envisioned a full-service agency that focused on creating long-term partnerships with client companies and providing customized solutions to staffing and recruiting challenges. She originally founded the company as Greer Personnel Consultants with a staff of two - herself and an assistant - and focused on direct placement.

In 1991 Debbie started her temporary division, Greer Staffing Services, and hired 4 additional staff. By 1994 Greer employed 9 consultants and changed its corporate structure from individuals working with clients and candidates to teams of two who could better serve the needs of a growing marketplace. This drastic change proved to be immediately successful. Clients and candidates now had access to two creative minds and staff could better balance the challenges and demands of
a busy career with their personal lives.

Another positive change took place in 1995, when Debbie adjusted the corporate structure once again. She shifted her focus from finding and servicing clients and candidates herself
to leading her company and providing the direction and management that has continued to foster our growth. Changes to the corporate structure and a growing marketplace led to a slight name change for the company in 1997.

The Greer Group, Inc. name evolved from a careful look at our position in the marketplace and the expanding services offered to clients and candidates. No longer just a personnel firm, it seemed appropriate to select a name that would continue to grow with our goals.

The principles of strong business ethics and innovation on which Debbie Greer founded her company in 1986 still provide the direction for our staff today. We continually look for new
ways to enhance our services and our professional growth as a company.
